Deb Roberts - SBE`s Teacher Assistant of the Year!
Deb Roberts - SBE`s Teacher Assistant of the Year!

Mrs. Deb Roberts is a wife, mother of two children, and a grandma of 6 grandchildren. She is also a friend, and a wonderful Teacher Assistant at Swansboro Elementary!

She joined the school family of Swansboro Primary/Elementary over 19 years ago and in this time, she has worked with kindergarten through fifth grade. Before she came to SBES, she worked for 5 years in the Virgina Pubic School System, as a para-professional with children within the Special Needs Population.  She was certified in Developmental Disabilities Specialist in May of 1996.

After returning to her native North Carolina, she earned the North Carolina Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship on December 19, 2003 followed by the Instructional Associate Certificate Level III on May 2, 2009.

Because she has always wanted to “Have a Spirit of Excellence” she endeavors to learn all that she can to help anyone she comes in contact with.

Mrs Roberts enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to Kerr Lake, bike riding, boating, taking photographs, scrapbooking, sewing, reading a great book, watching movies, working puzzles, shopping, spending quality time with her grandchildren, and working with students.

She has been blessed to have met many children, students, and parents over the last 25 years, as well as worked with some amazing teachers. She is looking forward to many more years at Swansboro Elementary before she retires and moves to Kerr Lake.
